SOS Pet Rescue

SOS pet rescueThe SOS Pet Rescue pass-through fund is helping this strong team of trustworthy, dedicated, and compassionate board members to build this organization with the mission of building a foster-based cat and dog rescue serving the Poconos and Slate Belt communities. Two of the founding Board members are veterinary technicians who are able to provide care that is unique from other rescues. In the beginning, they will focus their rescue efforts on cats, due to more availability of foster homes. Their short-term goal is to provide Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR) services so the mom is unable to have future litters, while compiling a list of TNR locations to provide to the public in the interim. Their long-term goal is to build an adoption facility and low-cost clinic for the community. They would also like to build a permanent, endowed fund to help make this goal a reality in the future.
