The West End Regional Park Fund was created by the Friends of the West End Park and Open Space Commission (WEPOSC) as one of the original funds of the CFMC.  The Friends of WEPOSC raised money to support improvement projects like the dog park.  When the Commission dissolved in 2023, the park operation was taken over by Chestnuthill Township.  The Friends dissolved and created the WERP fund to ensure the dollars they raised go to support the improvement and maintenance of the regional park forever.
