The Scotty Raymond Memorial Scholarship Fund was created by Scotty’s loving family after he passed away on April 12, 2023. One scholarship will be awarded to a Pocono Mountain High School Senior Wrestler who plans to continue a post-high school education or training.  A second scholarship will be awarded to support a graduating student from the Monroe Career and Technical Institute in the departments of Electrical or Outdoor Power Equipment Technology

Scotty wrestled at 121lbs. for Pocono Mountain East High School and was a PA State Championship Qualifier his junior year.  Scotty’s love and talent for wrestling was a strong part of his world, but he excelled off the wrestling mat as well.  He was also a student at MCTI.  He was a fighter and full of energy and truly loved and admired for his love of life and the joy that always accompanied him. He loved his family and truly embraced being a brother to 3 sisters. 

Scotty adored his dog Ivy who could be found tracking him anywhere else outside.  He loved the great outdoors: snowboarding, mountain biking, 4-wheeling, boating, snowmobiling, farm life and dirt biking.  He could make anyone smile with his witty humor and slight sarcasm. The Scotty Raymond Memorial Scholarships were created so that his joy could be passed on to others.
